Relationship Goals

Friendship
A friend who is always with you or you talk to every day for years

or

A friend you talk to rarely but make time to catch up on stories now and then and try to be there for you in times of need for years.

🍟 Which one would you prefer? Why?

Romantic Relationship

No strings attached type which both sides only continue in the relationship if both are still happy with each other. There's no status but has a better guarantee that you're still your partner's muse and preferences.

Or

Traditional relationships with status and all. Both stay in the relationship, which could be because they may be still happy with each other or because of the weight of the commitment.

🍟 Which one would you choose?

🍟 How important is it to have a status for you?

@SkolSuper1976

Sounds like you have great friends. I have a feeling you must be a great friend too for them somehow.b

Do you have tips to keep a friendship, perhaps?

Friendship

I guess that the 1st one refers to a more superficial friendship. So I'd say the second one.

Here's my point of view:

A true friend is someone you can laugh with, cry with. Who is not always psychically there, even seldom. Yet, when you meet, no time has past. A true friend is there for you, always, no questions asked. No judgment, no labeling. Not afraid to hold a mirror in front of you. Not afraid to not agree up to even saying that you really should do your homework again.

A true friend is someone who loves you unconditionally, no matter what.

Romantic Relationship

Not the "traditional" relationship as you call it.

For me, there are basically two kinds of relationships, relationships where you look outside your self and relationships where you look inside.

"Hollywood" relationships and relationships built on unconditional love. Relationships where communication grinds to a hold or becomes a weapon, and relationships where there is mutual love, kindness, gentleness. Togetherness, oneness. Where you can be your true self, your true being.

Importance of status

For me, status has no value. It is something that people derive from an image they build. To give them glory, admirers, followers, power.

True power, true status, true glory lies within you, always has, always will. If you are true to being, your true self, there are no needs to be filled, as there are no needs.
