Regaining trust ??

How do you work on regaining trust ? Like is that even a thing ? What are ways to regain trust ? Because I feel like it’s impossible :(

A broken trust needs patience and time to rebuild. How are you going to heal it at exactly where it's broken?
I mean if the trust broken because of harsh words (for example), it has more chance to gradually healed when the one who broke it prove it that under any circumstances, they just don't do that anymore.
