Stonewalling
After every major fight [not frequent] - mostly have occurs when my husband is upset with my behavior, he will stonewall me for a few days. Most recently it was because I did not encourage my in laws to stay with us [space issues]. Is this a common reaction? and how do people deal with it? It makes me non-functional and resentful of myself because I should have been kinder.

Whatever our partners decide to do stonewall / silent treatment etc ...... if we internalize it and blame ourselves ...... then their behavior is accomplishing what they want..... these things should be discussed about the space issue and planning ahead to have guests... instead he has you questioning if you were in the wrong ... that is like punishing a child ....
