Hello All. I hope u r having a great day.

i am a little bit confused and could use some help here.

i’m 38, never been married m, and used to have fear of commitment and still working on it.

ive been with my girlfriend for a year now, and she’s a very good girl, comes from good stable family, very ethical, and not high maintenance at all. But she’s very stubborn and not socially smart and all she cares about is when are we getting married to the extent that she went and saw a ring and just waiting for me to pay and her parents want to set a date for engagement this month. We’ve been arguing and arguing and I haven’t been very happy with her, but i know she’e honest and loyal and will keep a marriage intact. She doesnt have much experience being in relationships.

As we were fighting i was very unhappy and insecure and i met someone at work, she’s attractive, smart, emotional, caring, and positive. But she her family background is not v stable in marriage and she seems to lie once in a while if she has to and she’s engaged but seems like she’s over it and wants to move on coz she thinks she deserves better coz he’s dragging her down. She’s shown attraction towards me and i enjoy her company a lot, she just feels comfortable.

i would like advice from someone who’s been married pls.

should i stay in my relationship and take the risk of being unhappily married, or should i seek this new chance and take the risk of being with someone that might not be as resilient or might lie to me sometimes. I’m confused.

to let u know i am a relatively conservative guy but i also laid back and like to enjoy life. I care about values the most but i also need my peace of mind because i work long hours and need someone to look after me.

Hi Zizo, I don't have any advice on my sleeve and you're the one who will know best 🙂 however I'll ask some questions that hopefully help a bit.

A year in a relationship, the novelty is most likely have faded. What were your gf characters that you liked when you decided to be with her?

In 5 yrs from now, what type of person would you like to raise your kids with?

In 10 - 20 yrs from now, when some things may have changed, who would you like to spend your old days with?

How will your partner's family status make a difference in your life?

Feelings are fleeting and novelty always fades. When it does, what characters of your coworker will you most likely will still admire?

Hope you find the answer to your questions 💜
