What would you say was your best relationship & what lessons you took from it?
Each relationship teaches us something, not just about the kind of people we meet or relationships themselves. In the process we also learn lots of things about ourselves. And what are these?
We'd like to hear from you.

My best relationships have been ones where...
The other person helped me grow by...
Making good suggestions I didn't even think of.
Exposing me to experiences I needed to understand myself better.
Being supportive and helping me in ways I needed help.
Letting me help them and being open and receptive to help.
Also relationships where the other person was...
Open to doing things, having fun, taking chances, going on adventures, exploring life in many ways.
Good at communicating and being open, especially on sensitive topics.
Reliable and could be counted on.

I agree, exactly that motivation. These are the same qualities I admire in my friends. Open communication just about anything, being supportive and being there for you when you need them. It all sounds lovely. I bet we all crave having such quality friendships. Thank you so much for dedicating your time to share with us your thoughts & experiences.
My best relationship was with the woman I married. We had a wonderful 30 years of marriage, and then she passed away, about 10 years ago.
Now I am engaged to a woman who has sleep issues. When she doesn't sleep well, she gets mad at me for no reason. Lately she has been sleeping well, and things are going very well.
