Why would he do this?
Why would my new ex-boyfriend (we broke up 2 days ago) call me up, half a ring, and hang up. It’s not a butt dial because it happened twice. The first time I called him back and the second time I didn’t. Is he expecting me to make contact. Is he rethinking things and wanting to talk, but worried? It’s a test of some sort, I’m sure.

If someone doesn't tell you there's a problem, act like there is none. It is very difficult to deal with a break-up and if you feel like it bothers you that he keeps calling you, you can block his number. If you think getting the answer to your question would give you a peace of mind, asking him leaves the smallest room for errors and worries. However, if you want to move on and feel like no matter what he answers, it won't give you a peace of mind, then again—you can block him. No one truly knows the answer to your question apart from him. I hope you can heal from all of this💞
Since the break up is new, he can often think of you especially during midnight hahah coz he's still reminiscing the memories of you together and maybe he's thinking that you're thinking about it too and if not, he'll find a way to distract you. By doing that. It's your choice to go back to him. But if your mind is already made up, choose to ignore it. He'll stop soon
