how to move on?

i used to be really good friends with this girl in 2020, half-way through the summer she stopped talking to anyone, and when i tried to invite her to voice chatting or calling she never responded and ghosted me. throughout the rest of then summer and into the next year, she would blow up at me or be passive-aggressive for no reason.

throughout my entire time being friends with her i tried to fix our relationship three times (she never tried to reach out) and when doing so she didn’t let me say anything and talked about how much i upset her (i didn’t do anything to

her except cuss her out once because i was sick and tired of how she was treating me (it had been eight months at this point with her treating me like this)) now i don’t even wanna consider being her friend anymore with how badly she hurt me.

i’ve kinda cut her off at this point (only talking if she reaches out to me first) but my friends don’t believe she was being mean to me and that she was just “joking” and it really hurts and i feel like i don’t have anyone anymore. they prioritized her needs above my own. i used to be really close with her, i don’t understand what happened to make her hate me.

i feel like a lot of the time i’ve been used by my friends for emotional support / doormat and then they leave me. i’ve had multiple people to do this to me without any real reasoning or explanation.

i guess my question is how to heal/move on from this. i take my friendships really seriously so it hurts when they leave, i feel like a part of myself leaves with them. even though it’s been two years at this point i feel like i can’t move on. any advice/tips would be appreciated. thanks in advance :)

It's really difficult to try and guess what went wrong with the other person, I have been that bad friend that just changes their reaction out of no where, what I can 100% guarantee it's not your fault. When I have "changed" it's because I wasn't happy with where my life was at, I wasn't happy with myself, I saw in other people what I wanted to be or have and got frustrated that I didn't have it, based on my insecurities I wanted be seen but at the same time left alone. I was mad that everyone liked or complimented my friend and not me, it just got bad, but it was all on me, after reading your experience it brought back those past thoughts, in my unprofessional opinion I say it's time to put the friendship aside, thank them for the time it was enjoyed . You don't deserve to be treated that way because of other people's issues, you deserve respect and love too, at this point you have done what you could and sometimes it's just out of your hands and there is nothing more to do. You have no reason to feel guilty or at least you shouldn't , hope this response helps a little and good luck with everything
