picking my mom or boyfriend
my boyfriend & i have been arguing bout my mom. he calls her manipulative & gets mad about her “ busy schedule” if my mom is busy at work she asked me to help when needed. by this i mean running to the store picking up our dog from daycare, taking care of my younger brother & more. he gets sick of the fact that she’s always late minute with plans & can’t wait for us to get a place so that i don’t have ti do these things for her. on the other hand my mom also calls him a manipulator & controlling. i don’t necessarily disagree with her but now i’m second guessing myself. is my mom manipulative or is he just saying so to keep me away from her.

I am really glad you are thinking about this and not just listening to someone else's opinion. I think our moms count us when we live at home to help out. But I am wondering if it would be more manageable if you sat down with your mom to maybe see if you could plan ahead to help with certain things? That way, you would still be helping, but it wouldn't be unexpected or last minute?
That way, your mom gets help and your bf won't feel annoyed by it taking time away from him unexpectedly? Just a thought....all the best ❤️
