Fantasy or reality?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years now. I caught him messaging girls a few times & explained if he did it again, I'd leave. Well, ever since he doesn't message girls but rather watches porn daily. Sometimes more than once a day. & if he isn't watching porn, then he's masterbating to pictures of females that he knows. He will literally log into Facebook & use the same females over & over. He claims, he's addicted to porn because he was molested by his friends brother at a young age. States he doesn't remember a time without it, but I find it so weird he has to look up ppl we know. Literally doesn't look me up, but CONSTANTLY looks at other girls/ porn but he cannot stand the idea of me doing it. To either. Now that I left, he's been "trying" to prove that he doesn't want other females. Says he doesn't need those females. Says he wants to stop. Am I insecure because he cheated? Is it wrong it's people he knows? Now everything just feels like a lie, and a game & quite frankly I just don't get why he would do it if he claims to be so in love. Is this a way to just get me to see this isn't a big deal so I come back and he dan keep doing it?

@Cyanjet526

a good rule is to look at what people do, rather than what they say. I'm afraid he comes out of it rather badly if you do that. He may well be being completely truthful when he says he just uses it to get off, but tbh who wants to have your partner looking at your friend's pictures when he's doing that - in his head/pants, he's with them, right?

It would be a dealbreaker for me, I suspect.

If you are tempted to give him another chance, insist he proves to you he's stopped BEFORE you take him back. As you have discovered, it's a lot easier to lie than to give this sort of thing up.
