Finished too soon
Im currently in my first ‘serious relationship. Ive had sexual experiences with other girls before but shes the first person Ive actually had sex with. The problem is each time so far (3 times now) its been over way too soon. Really before things got started the last time. Shes been OK about it so far but I wouldnt blame her for being disappointed if we cant sort it out. Do I probably have premature ejaculation or could it be because its a ‘new experience? Ive read that it could be that but How do I know? Is there anything I can do now to fix it at this stage? If not how long do I wait? Any advice or info would be really appreciated.
Don't worry, it's absolutely common to have these kind of issues upon your first experiences! 3 times are not much, and definitely not enough to be worried. Your girlfriend is supportive, surely she understands that it's a normal thing. There are actually a lot of couples that have to give it several tries before actually managing to have a succesful intercourse, both boys and girls can have some sort of physical issue at this point. Try to be relaxed and not overthink it, remember that you can still have a good time together and enjoy other sexual things, and you can also try to wait until you're ready again and in the meantime just relax together to help each other getting rid of the worries. After you've finished once, the second time right after should last longer. You can also try to diminish the intensity of the experience by trying to focus on some other thought during the act, it may sound like it's not nice towards your partner, but it's ok to try if it can help on your first times together. If you think it could help you feel more comfortable, you can even try some specific condoms that are designed to help you prolong the duration of the intercourse.
Anyway, remember that what's happening is totally normal and very common, though guys usually don't like to talk about it. Everything will get better with time! Just make sure to give each other a good time anyway, the rest will come!
Thank @Aayla. How long would it normally take / how many times after the first time before it starts to get easier. I know everyone is different etc but it would be good to have some idea? Youre right, no one really wants to talk about it so its hard to know what to aim for.
