How do you communicate with your partner about sex?
hello lovely community! as you might know, the sexual health community has recently joined our community!
I know that this can be a pretty sensitive topic and of course everyone has a different opinion on the topic sex, but just as a reminder please respect everyones choices! 
for today i wanted to ask you how do you communicate with your partner about sex? I feel like communicating about what both sides expect or need can be a really important step in relationships if they are sexually active. Even if you are not sexually active, do you communicate about it?

My boyfriend and I have been sexually active for a while now. We've been together for almost a year now, so we crossed that boundary a few months ago. I like being completely open and honest about it. I know some people avoid the topic altogether, but in my opinion it's important! I was the first one to suggest taking that step, and I was very clear about what I'm confortable with and what things I'd rather not do. And, of course, I told my boyfriend I'll wait as long as he needs to be sure he's ready.
Generally, I'm always open to talk about what I'm sexually comfortable with because I think it's important to have open communication about sex and sexual boundaries just as it's important to talk about other things. Setting clear boundaries and being honest with each other about it can really help prevent misunderstandings, wrong assumptions, and other unwanted things.
@Emirson2018 couldnt agree more with you! sounds like you and your boyfriend are doing well at communicating about boundaries
