About 2 mweeks ago, my boyfriend had a major crisis occur. He distanced himself and cut off sex. It hurts a lot because we were having sex almost everyday. He is telling me different reasons why he cut it off. The main one being the crisis he’s dealing with and he is not able to enjoy it right now. Then he tells me that he’s not very sexual, which I know isn’t true. He is very sexual. But I think he says this because he’s trying to understand things. Me, on the other hand, I’m horny all the time and he knows this. We haven’t had sex in about 2 weeks. I have been very patient and supportive to him with what he’s going through and I haven’t tried to get him turned on since this issue is weighing heavily on him. HOWEVER, I have needs too, and they have to be addressed as well. We’re going out tonight and I want to have sex with him. I am not sure how to bring it up in an appropriate and non-confrontational way. He has to understand that we’re both in this relationship. I really want to get him to want me tonight. I want him to get horny and turned on and I am not sure how to do that with everything that‘s going on with him. That sai, I don’t want him to think I’m being pushy and ignoring his feelings about the crisis. How do I get him to want me?

@pluckyPapaya5662 I don't think you can you have to let him come to you forcing someone to do something they don't want to do isn't a good thing good luck.

He's pulling away from sex because of the crisis. I know that you want to have sex with him really bad, but he won't be able to have sex until he is ready. Helping him work through his crisis and helping him get back to the point where he wants to have sex again may help, but it will also take time and patience.

If he had a physical illness or injury that mean the couldn’t have sex would you be more understanding? Is your patience limited to two weeks? It doesn’t seem very respectful to be demanding your needs be met regardless of what he is going through. Perhaps try some vigorous exercise to help manage your desire for sex. I hear it helps. Or, ask others for suggestions of ways to reduce your own libido so you can continue to support your partner through this difficult time.

I had the same problem, it's difficult. I knew too that my partner was very sexual even tho he had all his problems. I just did work out on my body a bit and I tried to think about something else everytime I was horny, sometimes he's just not doing good enough. But if he sees you putting all the work to look better, he might change his mind. That's just my experience. My Boyfriend noticed that if he wouldn't satisfy my needs that someone else might want to and he couldn't have that.
