Hsv-2 - when do you tell someone?
I have been dwelling negatively on my hsv-2 diagnosis for years and consequently have not had a relationship either. I have tried dating, but always end up feeling too ashamed to tell the other person, and too guilty to keep it a secret so I break it off. I don't want to ruin another persons life. But when the sex topic comes up, I feel that I can't trust the man I'm seeing to keep my sexual health between us if we stop dating. When I've told my past boyfriends, the news spread to his friends. My friends don't know about my diagnosis and constantly make jokes and talk about other people with herpes like they are scum. It sucks not even being able to tell the people I'm closest with that this issue hurts me every day.
I want to live a normal life, but I have so much anxiety about this topic that I avoid dating completely. I crave companionship, but my disease makes my sex life complicated and impossible.
When is the appropriate time to tell someone? Even if we're not having sex, is it my responsibility to tell him just because he is interested in me? What if I am wasting his time by waiting? I would really appreciate others' thoughts and experiences.
Honestly if you feel comfortable tell them. It.is such a hard thing for you to deal with. There is such a terrible stigma with herpes. I am sorry you were put in this situation. Not every guy will reject you. You might be surprised how many people are accepting @discreetSailboat9067
@Theresalwaystomorrow thank you for that.
@discreetSailboat9067 You are welcome.

I have been searching for a wife to marry for years because I have herpes (HSV). I have found this search almost impossible because I do not have any connections who can help me with this search. I also dislike using the internet i.e. dating sites and the like, usually because it involves seeing pictures of indecent women and other bad things. I use social media very little. So my request here is that if someone would be interested in helping me finding a wife then I would also be happy to pay for your time and efforts.
I am from Denmark, 49 years old, currently unemployed, and otherwise healthy and doing well. Alhamdulilah (all praise is for God) I am also Muslim.
My daughter her last boyfriend gave that to her I could kill him says he didn't know but there's no way he was abusive he's a liar I'll see you cheater what's very very happy to see that relationship and was very concerned for my daughters prospects for finding someone nice. today is with I'm really really great guy he's polite he's thoughtful caring a team player responsible has a good job he goes to work every day and he's the best I could ever hope for for my daughter they're engaged she's very happy don't be discouraged she's my daughter and I love her more than anything in the world but I'm very concerned for her possibilities and this is the next boyfriend since to him and I I would marry him lol if I was a woman hang in there good guys around there and they understand.
My ex boyfriend,
a few days after first night together
he told me,
he has some kind of STI and I should be tested for it because he thinks I gave to it to him. I told him there’s no way,
because I was clean when I tested years ago,
and hadn’t slept with anyone between.
But he insisted, so
I tested and I had none.
He was happy and told me now he is all cured and we could have sex without protection since we both are clear of STI.
I was so naive to believe him.
He had HSV-2, And multiple HPV.
I had worst years of my life after break up, not because I got STI from someone I loved but because he lied and made me his victim.
