I'm addicted to men who scare me.

Uh. Potentially absurdly triggering for people. Just uh throwing that out there now.

Let's just dive into tmi territory.

So, I like men who are generally messed up. Genuinely. I don't end up dating them or sleeping with them, and am in a happy long-term healthy relationship. But say a character in a movie, a book, a game. Anything. If they're even mildly attractive to me and scare the hell out of me? Instant turn on. Cute guy with a hot voice beats the living shit out of someone with a baseball bat? I'm not cringing at the poor person getting beat to hell, I'm biting my lip thinking about the guy dishing it out. And this honestly scares me? I get that a lot of women have fantasies about getting overpowered or even raped, once in a while. But the vast majority of mine are? Like it's rare and noticeable to me when that's not whatever I'm fantasizing about. It just seems like taking the whole submissive thing and going way, way, way too far with it.

And this isn't new. This is something I've had... from the beginning really. Since I first started thinking about having sex. For the record I've had a good life for the most part. Financial problems sure but good family life and all that.

I don't even know if there's something to talk about with this but I needed to get it off my chest and at least have someone hear it. But I'm open to any and all questions, if anyone wants to discuss.

@ADTE

We all have fantacies, some may make others cringe and some may not. You sound like you are looking from this in a healthy perspective but maybe the volume is starting to scare you.

With fantasies of this type it usually equates to your current life and your opinion of it. Could it be that since a young age you are the one who took control and others look to you for guidance. Your sub-concious may be saying to you that you need a little break and are yearning, if only for one moment - someone else would take control and prevent you from trying to take it back.
