Loss of libido
Hi I'm cry. I've been in my relationship for almost 3 years and my libido is fracking dead, this seems to be a comman issue in all my relationships.
I've noticed I start out hypersexual because I just feel like I HAVE to sleep with my partner or he'll leave me, cheat on me and etc. I'm now starting to question my sexual identity and if I'm really just ace.
I've tried talking to my partner about this but he just makes a 'joke' saying I'll leave you or will just complain and pester me for freaking hours to do the do or a variant of and then when I complain he blames me for this because I was so hyper sexual.
I didn't mean to be but unfortunately my past relationships never worked out because of this so I force myself into the deed when I don't don't enjoy it. It doesn't feel great I don't feel connected with my partner and when I tell him that he literally just hears the worst qualities and then says I'm just using him.
I really don't know what to do I'm tired of my relationships putting an importance on the sexual aspect but not the relationship itself and is it really my fault since I started out like that? Help would be amazing.
It's not your fault and you shouldn't force yourself to do something you don't feel like doing. It's true that sex is important in any relationship, but it's okay if you don't feel like it right now. Loss of libido can be due to a number of factors, and your partner's behavior certainly doesn't help at this difficult time to figure out what's wrong. It seems clear to me that sex is not a priority for you in a relationship, or at least there are many other things that you value and that may have been missing in your relationships. It is certainly difficult to understand what the exact cause is, but remember that you are not alone: we listeners are at your disposal, and it may be useful to consult a professional in case you cannot solve this puzzle on your own. Don't blame yourself for this and take your time. Take care. 💖
