Loss of sex after having a child

My wife and I had our first baby about 3 months ago, our sex life used to be amazing. She would constantly chase me for sex and I would chase her, so pretty much every day or every other day. For about 6 months, it has been very dry. I get shot down more than I get it. It has become very frustrating and we have had talks about it but nothing changes. Any advice?

@jr123456

Have you talked to her about it?

there are so many items here as she probably is tired her hormones from pregnancy have not totally settled down or some do not feel confident about their body after a pregnancy. That is a lot for a body to go through. depending on the situation some women fear getting pregnant again as some do not take BC if breastfeeding etc...

ONLY she knows what is going on so in a loving way tell her how you miss the intimacy and your previous sex life. If approached in a non confrontational way i am sure you can find out why and work to overcome it

Yes we have had a few talks about it. She tells me that she still enjoys sex but that her drive is gone. But when we do have sex, it's a hurry up and get it over with, with no passion. I agree it has to be hormones, but when you continue to get rejected or you get a passionless sex it kinda drives me back a bit. I have even considered just not asking for sex and if she offers it, the passionless kind I want to turn her down. I don't want to get into a routine of sex being a chore. But i dont want to hurt her by doing so. Any ideas?

@jr123456

she can talk to her DR or sometimes regular exercise lifts a libido and helps with hormones.

i agree with you having passionless sex or sex where she is not really into it kills the passion some times for a lot longer.....and not worth the risk of long term resentment.

i know how it feels hoping and waiting for someones situation to clear up etc and the sexless marriage is a tough one to get over ...... you want to be understanding and supportive but also feel left out.....
