Low drive with a high drive partner
My husband and I have been married for 5 years this year. He has a very high drive and I do not. I get stressed because he seems like he’s always trying to initate or touch me. I always turn him down because it’s either an inappropriate time for that kind of thing or I’m just not in the mood. I am a stay at home mom with a 2 year old. I take labido gummies for my sex drive but I still feel like it’s not enough. I do love him very much and do find him so attractive. I just can’t get myself in the mindset. I have so much anxiety over all things sexual and ide rather just spend time with him than have sex. He believes intimacy and sex is very important in a marriage which makes me feel like I’m not providing the way that I need to.

I think many can relate to your situation maybe even in reverse roles
have you discussed with him how you feel? do you think talking to a therapist or someone about your anxiety might help?
did you always feel like this or did libido go down after your child was born......... there should IMO never be pressure to provide intimacy..... but i DO agree that intimacy is important in a marriage.
My labido dropped after my child was born! I’ve always struggled with anxiety and depression and there was a time when I was on medication that I didn’t have one at all. I know he doesn’t mean to pressure me, but I still feel the pressure all the same from his body language. I would honestly love to talk to a therapist about it, but I can’t afford one currently.

I totally understand and perhaps a listener here they have their specialty listed if you browse listeners.
if after your child a medical dr may be able to prescribe something or tell you some natural alternatives to medications
i started a exercise program and it really increased mine and we were already not on same wave length so made it worse
@toughTiger6481
What excercise program would that be ? I'm interested as I suffer from same kinda issue.
Thank you
@Zen4diaz
I read many articles regarding this item as mine went into overdrive and finally put it together with the exercise/ weight loss i had gone through ..... i also feel it is mental as i am much happier looking in a mirror ..... i do walking and various HIIT programs i have found on you tube
Hi Bumblebee. I can totally relate to this. No pressure directly from my husband but I can tell it bothers him. Mine dropped off to almost nonexistent over the past few months. It makes me feel like I am less than (my own thoughts,not his words) which makes it so much worse. I have started to recognize I don't feel great about myself so feeling sexy seems impossible. I wonder if working on your self esteem might help too? Just mentioning it as I am super early in my journey to fix mine and hopefully my sex drive too.

I think that this is a very common issue among couples so I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. Outside stressors and responsibilities can disrupt a woman's sexual desire. Speaking from a man or husband's perspective we often get excited just looking at our wives or thinking about it. Woman typically don't get turned on so quickly. Have you talked about having a date night or other fun things to do? My wife has let me know that she needs to get emotionally involved and feel connected to really enjoy having sex. We have struggled with this issue ourselves as well since I also am wanting it almost all the time.
I feel the same way. I as male what relations with my wife. But my drive is down in drops. My meds are not helping this. I at times stand at a cross roads go off the meds and let me old me back or stay on them and just be flat
