Need help regarding a fetish

Hi, I am a 25 year old pretty normal male except for one thing : I have a fetish.. I'm a college graduate in chemical engineering and have a steady job. I have a confession regarding a fetish I have. Ever since the age of around 12 years old/ entering puberty I have had a very strong thong/ g string fetish. I don't wear them or anything but love to see them on women. The thing is that it's not panties in general but only a specific type : I only like women in thongs and other "sexy" lingerie. If I see a thong sticking out of a woman's pants I get extremely aroused. About a year ago I started to realize that I had a fetish in the sense of the word. I never really questioned it before. I am trying to understand it but don't really understand why I think my fetish is so attractive to me. I believe it might have come from a girl I had a crush on as a young man just entering puberty wearing thongs and it sort of stuck in my mind that women that wore them were somehow more daring which made them more attractive to me I have no idea. I don't want to treat a girl like an object just for my fetish, but it's a really strong attraction that I have. Sometimes I wish that I was normal and liked only boobs and butts within the confines of a steady monagomous relationship. Coming to terms with this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. I feel like some sort of deviant and an abnormal person. I've dealt with anxiety for a long time and I believe this feeling of being different is the root cause of my anxiety. I sometimes also wish that I would just be asexual for then I would be able to live a normal life without getting aroused by my fetish. The question I have is : what is the prevalence of someone having a fetish ? ( any fetish doesn't have to be the one I have). In addition is there any way to get rid of a fetish? I would give anything in the world just to be normal

@Thorium

Fetishes are very common and so is your fetish actually! There's no need to be ashamed or try to get rid of it. You will find a woman who supports your fetish ☺

Fetishes are fairly common. There is a fetish for everything. Most people learn to live with their fetish by incorporating it into their relationship somehow. For others having a fetish is distressing. It sounds like you do not like having a fetish and are experiencing negative emotional reactions when you think about your fetish. It does not matter if the fetish is very common or not, if it is causing you distress you should seek therapy and work through the issues with someone who is trained in sexual issues.

I don't know how only liking boobs and butts is normal...It is extremly normal to get turned on by women in sexy lingerie, I mean, even freakier things are normal...

Common things men enjoy sexually that is as normal as boobs and butt:

Getting fucked in the butt

Feet

Slutty behaviour in women

Small tits

Lingire ( things, corsets, lace, you name it )

Spanking

Biting

Cartoons

Tattoos

Threesomes

Watching someone have sex

Role play

So yeah, Lingerie is kinda...Tame, and extremly normal.
