Only if the semen travels to your vagina. If it stays in the anus of course you can't.

Hey there. Technically, you can get pregnant if any sperm-containing sexual fluid comes in contact with your vagina. It doesn't take much for those strong little swimmers to make it upstream. Pre-ejaculate can contain a very, very tiny amount of sperm. If your sexual partner's pre-ejaculate comes into contact with your vaginal area before you engage in anal sex, or his genitalia/ fluids come in contact with it after ejaculation, it is possible that active sperm could make it into contact with an egg and fertilize it. That being said, the chances are *highly* unlikely.

Please keep in mind that engaging in ANY sexual activity from which you do not desire to possibly conceive a child requires *one or more* forms of reliable birth control. Do yourself a favor, and some great self care-- always insist that your partner uses a condom (which will also reduce possible sharing of transmittable diseases as well as reduce possibility of conception). And practice safer sex on your end as well-- perhaps with hormonally-based conception such as pills or injections, ot an IUD. Carry condoms with you at ll times. It is the responsibility of each person enganing in sexual activities with another person to keep themelves safe and protected.

Enjoy every aspect of your sexuality, sweetheart, but please be safe and take precautions to avoid unintentional and/or damaging outcomes. XO

@ladylazarus1971

This was said with expert kindness, quality information, and very accurate. Thank you for posting this @LadyLazarus1971

There are a lot of people who believe the myth that you cannot become pregnant that way - good to see your well thoughtout post and I hope it helps her to make the right decision on contraception.

Anal sex is save if practiced properly. That means you go slow, at first at minmum. You have open communication with your partner, you use lub and you cleanse.

Sperm has to enter the vagina to get pregnant...

Please make sure that you are ready for sex before you practice any form of penetration.

I posted and left, but your post is still sitting uneasy with me.

Asking questions is always good but reading between the lines of your post, I get the feeling that you may not be confident or even ready for this or even regular sex.

If you are hesitant, then chances are you are not ready. I would suggest that you talk about sex with a trusted person, who has life experience. A school councellor can give you resources to find people to help.

Please do not feel that you have to have sex, this is a big choice and make sure you are doing it for yourself and no one else!
