Sex is painful.
(Female btw, I can't take any penetration)
In the past year sex has gone from pleasurable to unbearable. I've gone to physical therapy for it but I can no longer go due to transportation issues. Unfortunately it hasn't helped, if anything it's gotten worse. I was given a dilation set to help stretch and relax the muscles that are preventing me from having pleasurable sex, but I hate the thought of having to do the exercises they told me to do with it.
Although I still want sex, I have a hard time even getting myself to want to participate in any sexual acts once the opportunity arises. This has put a severe dent in my confidence and sexual side. I've always been in touch with my sexuality, from the time I was a child. Experimented with sex as soon as I found the right people. You could say I'm "kinky" since the only thing that's helped me feel good about myself these past few months is doing some self bondage and participating in some form of exhibitionism(I'm talking about nudes). But this hasn't helped much in actually getting myself to do the things I want with another person(especially my significant other, I think this has been harder on him than me tbh.)

@thoughtfulAvocado5823 - Hi there. I'm glad you reached out here - it's absolutely a frustrating place to be in when you feel like you want to be able to have sex but don't feel able to because of pain or even excited about the possibility because of it, and I can imagine that having a partner you're worried about can add to the frustration and the anxiety around it.
You mentioned that it's been hard to want to participate in any sexual acts and it's putting a dent in your confidence. I certainly don't know the full story, but I do know that often feeling a lot of pressure about certain acts can make it hard to feel excited about any of it. Do you think you might be able to take some of that pressure off by making penatrive sex not the end goal right now and instead working with your partner on smaller intimate acts and exploring sexuality in a way that isn't painful for your body - not as foreplay to that, but as the main event itself?

Hey, just wanted to let you know you're not alone in this. I'm struggling with painful penetration as well. Have you thought about seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist? I saw one for the first time last week, and she gave me a set of non-penetrative exercises to try and help build up my pelvic floor muscles. Let me know if you want to talk about it! :)
Guurl I feel you, I'm kinky AF and can't do penetration and it's frustraiting ( on top of having lacking energy cause of issues )
It truly ruins the mood.
I also got a dialator set and I use it while masturbating, to make it a chore kinda ruins it so I use them for fun, it have gone forward for me, surely it might be a bit of a longer process but a more enjoyable at that and for me it doesn't really lose the "fun" of using it, sure there are days I'm tired of my problem and rather dissappear somewhere, but in general, it's more of a sextoy for me then a workout since I mix it with fun.
Also I don't actually dare to stick them in while not aroused, scared to damage the skin or something and get scarring lol.
