lol self explanatory title.. thought this would be a fun thing to post and de-stigmatise periods.. there is a stigma surrounding the in many places so yeah... don't feel obliged to po st if you aren't comfortable with sharing :)

I thought people here were understanding. Whats wrong with bleeding blueish blood from here every now and then? Its the fact of life, get over it.
Lol my first one was on my 13th birthday. Being a man, it certainly wasn't pleasant either. :P

I was 16 at the time...really late bloomer...I always thought there was something wrong with me. Kind of worried why I DIDN'T have anything going on yet D: When it finally happened I was thrilled/relieved, haha.

I woke up on my 14th bday, of course school started back in a few days...lucky me! Anyway, my dad had to go get me some things...it was awkward. But it got embarrassing that evening when I had volleyball practice and I leaked everywhere! I've struggled ever since with my periods! Had every test ran, pretty sure my doctors are idiots considering they still can't figure out why I have so much pain and such bad periods. I'm glad I have boys and don't have to worry about that with them! I wouldn't wish it on anyone! Periods are overrated!
I was.. on the 5th grade I guess when I got my first period. It was pretty funny if I have to remember it back, I was the Hypochondriasis(the preoccupation with fears of having serious illness) type of person I thought I will die because I was bleeding, the problem is because I was early than planned, my mom nor my sister explained a thing about it. I try to wash the bloody clothes and even try to hide it to no avail. My mom know and I was scolded for not telling and I was crying hard. Funnily the one who gave the talk was my father, not the what's period kind of talk, but the you need to tell your mom when something weird happened again and calm me down by taking me grocery shopping. Truthfully I think the experience was quite funny :D
It was in home, so much luck! I was 12, I went to the bathroom at the morning, found blood in my legs and I started screaming "I AM BLEEDING AHHHHHHHHHHHH". Mom went to help me but I was still screaming, my sister said "the neighbours will think that mom is hurting you, haha!". I remember that day I changed all my sanitary napkins every moment :P
So scared. Is funny because I never knew about that thing and I said "maybe is the menstruation". Wut.
I was in the fifth grade, and 10 at the time. I went to the bathroom and I saw this brownish red stain on my underwear and I didn't know what to do, so I hid it. When my mom went to do laundry and saw the stain she pulled me over, and was upset that I didn't tell her! I was afraid, I didn't know what to do. She explained to me that I needed to wear pads, and I felt like I was growing up. I'll never forget it
I had been to the doctor about a week before and she asked if I had it, I was 12 and i didn't know what it was. She freaked out that something was wrong made me have blood work and an ultra sound. I thought there was something wrong with me and cried all day that day because ultra sounds are only for pregnant people (also not knowing what sex was). The Saturday before thanksgiving that year I got it. It was so gross and I'll always be mad because I feel like the doctor jinxed me.
Interesting that a lot of people are saying 5th grade. You would have been about 10 years old I think. It could be scary because you don't know much about it. For men we have nocturnal emission and I was confused and embarrassed. A lot of you are probably thinking I should have been more prepared. Yeah but I think it's only natural and we all change. Hopefully we all change for the better and find good ways of dealing with our experiences
