So against pegging, help!?

Greetings.. This is a very uncomfortable subject for me and I can't seem to be happy with the results I find online. I suppose I'm looking more so for a coping/acceptance thought process and how to start not shunning this kink.

*Go to ------- for the direct question..

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 year now and have been living together almost a year now under other people's roofs. (Fast I know, considering he's my first) Aside from this issue we both have more issues (anger, depression, anxiety, etc) but one thing at a time.. Recently this has been bothering me as it's something I believe will determine how much longer this relationship lasts for me..
Don't get me wrong I LOVE him, but sex to him is a higher priority than me. ( I considered myself asexual before him, I still kind of do, though he's convinced me I'm not)
Anyway, I am really good at reading people and when I met him I had a feeling he was either bi or gay and this was going to be a cover up relationship. I liked him and he denied all things of the sort. (His family and friends thought the same thing of him) So I went on with the relationship, always having that thought in the back of my head but it didn't ruin anything or make anything less of us or him; I really didn't care. What I do now care about is the sexual part, because it now involves me..
He's a weird character as he always goes on about "What if.." scenarios and I hated them, now I go along with them to shut him up. Things from "What if god and Lucifer were an item?" which would become a little story after that thought all the way to "What if I lost my genital and I only could be pegged?" In the beginning of our relationship it caused a major problem because one that really got to me was "What if you found another girl underwear here?" and sorts of the lines of cheating. And those things led to a disaster as I suffer BPD and hurt him before he could hurt me.
About a year and a half in after I moved in he did a random confession of how when he got his first job he went out and bought lingerie and tried it on just to see "how it feels" and then said he threw it away. Later on the whole "what if" game got worse and more sexual ideas came flowing from his mouth. One time he had a very vivid and lively way of a position if we were to have a threesome as with another girl. I was disgusted. I wanted to throw up... I'm not homophobic.. I'm just a prude who is slightly vanilla. A relationship contains two and only two..
So the other night we were on the phone and another "what if" popped up and it was about if he had got his genitalia shot off and the only way he could be please at that point was by pegging and if I do that for him. My response was no and he went on to saw how depressed that would make him not having his junk any more. That eventually he'd kill himself and how I'd feel not having sex anymore. I said you could still please me. And he said what about me.. Told him that's a selfish thought. But I'd be okay. (asexual mind) I could care less. He again set it up is what if we wouldn't do bdsm in trade of pegging, to be fair. I told them those are total opposite and aren't interchangeable. BDSM to me is the mindset... Pegging is an action. I want a dominant in my life and a man who is getting pegged isn't what I consider that.. This my main issue with it. In MY mind and I can't rid it is that pegging is an action of submission.. To be it degrades a man. Of course there is other sides to this, but this is my perception... So no I want nothing with this thought or idea. I want a total Dom and not the slightest of fem intentions.
How do I get over it?

------

Dan is 24 and I am 19. First loves living together for 2 years now. I believe he's trying to come out? Or is he just trying to tell me he wants to be pegged?

Timeline:

-His confession of loving My Little Pony. Family already believes he's gay/bi, I thought that the first weeks of hanging out. He denies it. So he is not.

-Became more open of our fetishes. Only thing he said was anal, nothing else.

-A year together, at this point living together, confesses that when he got his first job he bought lingerie, tried it on to "see how it feels" then he said he threw it away..

-Complains about hemorrhoids. Long bathroom breaks. Deleted history on phone. Some times he shaves his behind. (May be reading to much into this one, but we have a really good diet and I only every had a hemorrhoid once and that's when we tried anal once..)

-Continual "what if's" of pegging. If I'd do it, if my finger slipped it, if I were to how often, would I leave him if that's what he really wanted, etc

-Yesterday, with a heavy sigh "I rather be a girl than a boy" after a very vulgar "what if" setup of "What if I lost my genital and I only could be pegged?". My response, I dissociated and said I'd have some other girl do it as I left him to do his business. He insisted he'd want me to do it. He then said if it was role reversal that if I were to withhold my fetish against me (BDSM) if I were not to that. I argued it was nearly not the same and unfair. Basically he was trying to find a loop hole in were I said yes to this "what if" case. (Over phone call)

-Had intercourse this morning and I was totally detached swarmed and engulfed with the disgusting activity of his make believe wishes and then turned grumpy and still detached through out the rest of the day.

I don't care if he's gay, I rather that than in engage in the pegging activity. I don't think I could go on with a relationship where that's his desire, but I don't want to be as shallow as that... Is there anyway to cope with the idea that this could what he subconsciously wants?

@Ashnicolearts

Welcome to the 7 Cups forums. We'll do our best to help you navigate through this situation.

It's hard to tell, and part of this can come from the stigma of having fetishes, especially fetishes such as pegging. It sounds like he is using the "What if..." scenarios as a way to test the waters so to speak. This way, he feels like he isn't admitting to any kinks while also asking to see what your reactions are to these scenarios. It's a passive way of saying "what do you think about ____ kink?"

My concern is when he wants to "trade kinks" such as witholding bdsm in exchange for pegging (hypothetically, but still). This sort of action is passive aggressive, and unproductive in a relationship.

-

When it comes to the perception of pegging being an act of submission, this is mostly the case. It does not, however, mean that the man will all of a sudden become submissive just because he is being pegged. Here is a pegging blog FAQ that may give you a bit more insight into pegging.

Trying to be open-minded and understand the kink is a good place to start! This allows you to fully understand pegging in order to evaluate whether or not this is something you want to do, rather than judge it by your initial reaction.

However, please keep in mind that you don't have to be into pegging. You may not be into pegging and that is perfectly okay. Just as some people are vanilla, and others are into bdsm and different kinks, it's perfectly reasonable for you to have your own preferences and for him to have his. Sexual compatibility matters, and it's important to recognize and respect that.

-

WIn regards to dealing with Dan, I believe making him become more assertive and calling him out on these passive "What if" scenarios. Rather than playing the what if game, it may be helpful to just ask him point blank: "Have you wanted to be pegged?" or "Is pegging something that is important to you?" If yes, then it allows the two of you to have an open discussion about this kink and how to deal with it. If not, then it would okay for you to say no to hypothetical pegging wouldn't it? It's not something that you want to do, and if it's just a hypothetical scenario, then it's unfair to compare it to bdsm because bdsm is something that you do enjoy whereas he has said that pegging isn't important to him.

Being straightforward and open instead of using word cans can be tremendously helpful.

Another thing that can be helpful is for both of you to acknowledge that even if you do not enjoy the other person's kink, it doesn't mean that the kink nor the person is shameful. Sometimes people and kinks are simply not compatible and that's okay.

-

I don't think that ending a relationship due to sexual incompatibility is shallow. In fact, it limits a lot of problems in the long run when resentment builds due to such incompatibility.

I don't believe that pegging necessarily means that he is gay

I also don't believe that this is a subconscious want, but rather a very passive approach to asking about a kink.

I hope these answers helped and I wish you the best <3

Thanks! It really put my mind at ease on this subject. Too bad I just found out he has/is cheating on me instead! Now I'm fighting against myself on my comfort level to the logical reasoning that I need to run away from this relationship.

@Ashnicolearts

Leaving the relationship is much harder for someone with BPD due to the anxieties when it comes to attachment.

Having emotional support through friends and family will definitely help.

You're also free to message me to talk 1-on-1 as well!

Best of luck <3 *hugs*

We are working on it. My comfort level is exceeding the logical level to leave. More so the attachment you're saying. As my mind is always changing it's mind, I'm making myself believe I love him, but I'm sure by sunrise I might really do so.. Who knows! This is a rollercoaster..

I am a very straight man and I greatly enjoy receiving anal. I have no interest in having a man perform anal on me. About 10 years ago I thought that I might be bi and decided to give it a try. It did not work out so well. I absolutely could not maintain an erection for another man. That moment right there told me 100% that I am straight as an arrow. I just like it in the butt... From a woman. That being said, your boyfriend is not necessarily gay. He may just enjoy the feeling. Maybe one time you should slip a finger in him and see his reaction. You may be incredibly turned on with his reaction. You never know if you are truly for or against something until you try it. My wife had never performed anal play with a man before me and she told me she would try it but she wasnt exactly comfortable with it. She tried it and saw how turned on I got and it got her going for sure.

Pegging doesn't have to be an act of submission, although it's usually done as a female-dominance thing. But just as the man who "receives" in a gay encounter may not be the "bottom" - he could be the one directing the shots, and deciding what everyone does - the man being pegged could be in charge.

I could link some stories that show that… but it sounds like it's not your kink of choice anyway, so you wouldn't enjoy reading about it.

Sounds like your boyfriend is not respecting your boundaries; he's decided what kinds of activities you should be experimenting with, rather than agreeing that first, you should find your comfort level, sort out things you know you do like and how you like them, and then, after that's covered, you might consider trying other things.

Focusing on "what if" and demanding that you agree to wilder and more extreme acts that you never expect to happen is not a mark of a good partnership. It almost sounds like he doesn't want a relathionship with you; he wants to know if he can turn you into a fantasy-woman who will go along with anything he suggests.

I am so confused...Why even consider the genetalia being shot of? And why end up in such a discussion about it? He still has his genetalia doesn't he s why even fight about it?

And theres nothing wrong with pegging, lots of men likes it up the ass and it isn't to degrade them in any way...Sex isn't all domination and submission, it's also just pleasure and fun...Just because one is doing the pumping doesn't suddenly make the person dominant, theres certainly a box that needs to be opened here and stop having such square thoughts about sex and sexuality.
