To Those Pedophiles, Beastphiles, and Other Rape/Violent Fetishists....

Society has made this easy. I'm not angry at you. It's probably because of porn or your friends who are so "sex positive" they forget mental health is a thing. I made this thread to share our jounaries in overcoming these fetishes and sharing resources. First, I'll start with my own.

Bad mental illness, porn, and a bad self esteem (like everyone else?) involved me getting into bdsm - you know, the lovely community that revolves on sexualizing domestic abuse. I thought, wow I truly am awful, so don't I deserve to be treated badly? Let's get into as many violent boyfriends as possible (which, sadly, I did). I hurt myself so much that... I didn't want to be hurt anymore. I started looking into the effects of porn/fetishes. I learned about human trafficking. I learned about addiction. I learned about how people are desensitized and conditioned into thinking it's sexy outside the bedroom. Not to say it's only a fantasy anyway, because those trafficking victims on screen are real.

Anyway, I wanted to create positive change somehow. Tumblr...too many people being mean. Vent... I deleted myself there too because of bullying. By adults!!! So I thought that here would be a wonderful place to start. I want to create this forum to help those above, like in the title, or anyone else struggling with similiar problems. I know that sometimes people can be very angry towards defending themselves ("I was born this way vanilla c**t!!!"), but please try to stay open minded for change. What is your story? Why do you want to change? What advice can you offer and what have you done to help manage these feelings? :)

Personally, I found the no fap community. It's essentially a challenge to quit porn to avoid triggering material (even if you watch "normal" porn, you are still contribuing to human trafficking and it eventually makes you want more and more lolicon, anthro, rape, etc... it's the addiction that makes our society love it) and masturbation (usually until the urges go away so you won't think about triggering stuff during it, in my opinion). You can also rewrite your fantasies in a bad light and I found this very unhelpful. Do you want to be kidnapped? Think of his bad breath. Disgusting! How can you sleep with someone who smells so bad? Even if you are on the abuser side, think of them smelling bad, being the wrong gender, calling the police, etc. Stuff like that! If you really want to get sexual, try to think of your own fantasies of non harmful things. Enjoy long baths? Try fantsizing about having a bath with someone who is consenting AND is in a healthy state of mind before, during, and after. Remember to never accept violence of any kind, especially towards children and animals, and above all else, stay positive! You can get through this! You can do this! Society LOVES throwing the faux sex-positive idea of "no kink shaming its natural uwu" but remember they CAN stop! They CAN go away! You CAN experience deep, romantic, and loving...well making love!

So please, start...! No arguing please, but I can share resources I have seen.

~May you be well. :D

You can change people's fetishes just as much as you change someone's sexual orientation. Which is not at all. Tough, maybe, especially when people take pleasure in things that are the cause of unspeakable suffering for others. But life isn't fair, or comfy, and the world won't change to make anyone feel comfy. *shrug* Sorry, I'm just being realistic.

...What did I just read?

You're not contributing to human trafficing for watching normal porn, and with normal I mean actors who choose to be there themselves doing mindless humping, wtf...

You don't have to get into all those weird stuff eithter, and anthro for all I've seen is animated...Who cares if it's animated, then no one got hurt, theres so much weird animated porn out there but who cares, you gotta be realistic and see fiction for fiction and take it with a pinch of salt, aka not do it in real life if it's something weird and harmful.

@Ladypearl It makes me upset to see someone so ignorant on the effects of human trafficking, but I forgive you.

@VegetarianBuddhist14 So all recorded sex = human trafficking? Even if it's a drawing?

That sounds like polarized thinking. It comes with depression/anxiety, and I understand it's hard to get over.

@Ladypearl Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA). States the connection with increased demand for porn correlates with the increases demand for human trafficking. Just so you know.

I was curious with this title and, after reading this, I think some responders are being a bit to critical. Especially as someone looking on the outside in, like I am, there are many things we won't understand especially Connections that are found between certain things. What I know is that coping can be dealt with in many ways and I think getting all "social justice warrior" about certain aspects of it is counterproductive. I commend the start of this feed because it takes a lot of strength to admit a problem and, even if it is impossible to change, it is great that there is a desire to change. So I'd say keep the thread about focusing on the ROAD TO IMPROVEMEMT and not nit-picking over details.
