Wanting to be raped?
For a while now i have had the wanting to be raped, I think it might be because of the fact that ive been wanting more attention from the people i love lately and ive been having fantasies about being raped, getting a lot of attention about it and feeling good. Is there anything i might be able to do to stop this urge? I feel really bad about it and would like to, wanting that horrible to happen just for attention feels shameful, and it is.....
@MeemeeMaddy I feel that the main idea here is that you want attention. Do you feel ashamed about wanting attention? If so, that may be what you want to work on. We all need attention and there is no shame in that. It's a human need and we all need to be loved and cared for. What are some healthier ways in which you could get attention from your loved ones? Would you prefer genuine attention or pity? (These are all rhetorical questions for you to figure out what you want and hopefully help you see that rape has nothing to do with it.) Don't be ashamed for wanting what you want but also be willing to go a little deeper to get that clarity about what it is that you want.
It's okay to want anything when it comes to sex. No shame in that, as we each have different needs and desires :)
However, it can be tricky to gigure out exactly what we want, which may lead to confusion. Like confusing tough sex with someone who desires us deeply and whom we accept, with the totally different act of being forced into unwanted sex with aperson we don't want. There isn't much attention given to the person being raped. Just humiliation and distegard.
So how about exploring different sexual intensities and partners before jumping to the extreme and traumatic idea of rape with all the danger it poses? :)
Take care luv <3
Having a fantasy of being raped is a common fantasy for a lot of women. The reality thought is that most of the women who have this fantasy do not acutally want to be raped. It is a fantasy. Craving attention and wanting someone to want you so much they are willing to just "take" what they want is common. If you have taken steps to achieve this fantasy in unhealthy ways, that is when it becomes dangerous. Role playing a rape fantasy with a sexual partner is fine as long as both parties consent. However, putting yourself in risky situations, finding a stranger to act this out, or inviting someone you don't know to do this, can be very dangerous. It is important to be safe. If the fantasy centers more on family members rushing to your side to offer support and love, then the fantasy may have less to do with rape and more to do with your relationships with those around you. Either way, therapy can work these issues out and allow you to safely explore the underlying emotions and desires.
