Affair to functional relationship?
Who here has been in an affair, left your partner for the ‘other man or other woman and how did it work out? Was it something you regretted?
I am married, trapped in a loveless relationship. Both of us have given up on doing anything that you do when in a relationship. Neither of us make any effort.
I met someone, fell in love and now I live a secret life and Im completely head over heels for the other man.
he loves me too but he is a bit complicated. He is scared to commit to me. He is afraid of not being independent anymore. He hasnt had a serious relationship in 7 years. Hes been ‘the other man a few times so Im not his first taken person hes been with.
I am curious to know your thoughts and similar experiences?
lets talk :)

I was having an affair recently and it ended. I've done a lot of reading up on it, and you should make sure you're not in what's called the "affair fog", where you're unable to see your affair partners shortcomings because of how they make you feel. You don't have to live in real life with them and you only see the best of each other, without all the little things that break a relationship down over time. Believe me I know exactly how you feel, like they're your soulmate and everything they do or say makes you smile and how every moment you spend with them makes you happier than you ever thought possible. But living two lives like that can tear you in half. It makes you feel guilty, but why should you be guilty if it makes you happy, right? I would take a long look at both relationships before you make a choice, but if you're not happy in your current relationship you shouldn't stay unhappy.

Have you found 7 cups to be helpful to your situation? I'm not sure I have so far. I joined because when my affair ended I had a lot of mixed emotions about it, and nobody to talk to. I think most people find it easy to help and support those who were betrayed by an affair, not so much those who were involved in it. It's hard to find someone who understands what you're going through and is sympathetic to it.
