Anyone overcome fearful-avoidance or know of someone who did?
If so, how did they/you overcome it? I'm interested to know what sort of circumstances can help someone with fearful-avoidant attachment overcome their fear of intimacy.

That will involve a long process of healing childhood wounds, trauma, past hurt and other negative life experience by seeing a therapist. It's important that the fearful-avoidant person is aware of what goes inside of them because they usually try to avoid feelings and emotions at all cost by distracting themeselves. Feeling love comes with a cost to them, so if they attract someone who is anxious then they will often feel smothered and trapped unless the person is able to soothe their own anxiety.
