Doing something that the 'special person' forgives you for. But you won't let yourself off the hook.
I visited a very special woman in my life, three weeks ago. I live on the East Coast of the U.S.. She lives on the West Coast of the U.S.. This was my second trip in four months out there.
Last night she told me on the phone. That I ate all 'her' cereal while I was there. Both trips I have bought her flowers, bought my own food, and paid for all the times we went out while I was there.
But I can't forgive myself for not only eating all her cereal. I can't forgive myself for not replacing it. Even if she does forgive me, I can't forgive myselft.

Hi there, I understand! When you're with someone in the earlier stages & you really like them, you kick yourself anytime you make a "mistake". It's difficult not to worry when you really want something to work out, isn't it? Maybe taking a step back would be helpful? Imagine the roles were reversed... would you worry about a box of cereal after such a lovely time together?
If it helps, I once had this boyfriend who would stay with me most of the time as our relationship progressed. It'd come to my day off & I'd go to make myself lunch or get a couple of biscuits to dunk in my tea only to find there wasn't any bread & just a couple of biscuit crumbs...! He'd replace them later in the day & although it was a mild inconvenience, I actually found it amusing. Like a wee reminder I was beginning to share my life with someone I really enjoyed being with. Someone who felt comfortable enough to feel at home in my home.
We've been married for 7 years now, together for 10. There's always bread & sadly for my backside...always biscuits! I hope that you can stop punishing yourself for something that your special lady isn't dwelling on at all. Relationships are all about sharing & loving eachothers' quirks...even the ones that drive you up the wall (because like it or not, we ALL have a few of those!) 😊
