They do not respect me, to put it lightly.

Sometimes people can be disrespectful.
Maybe try ignoring them, when they are being that way.
They might get the hint, and they might be more respectful, the next time.
It is like giving them, a taste of their own medicine, so to speak.
I had to do this, with a few people, offline and online.
Some got the hint to be more respectful towards me, the others, did not. The ones who continue to be disrespectful towards me, I had no other choice but to block them. Which I did not like to do. But they did not respect me, so I did the right thing,in my opinion.
Respect goes a long way in my opinion.
So you might want to try that.
But each situation is different, so what works for some, may not work for others. I am being very honest here, when I say this.
No two people are the same, we are all different in some ways.

@Happy900 Well, I decided to invest myself in the PCSX2 discord not just to find like-minded people to befriend, but also to push my agenda of using drastic measures to make society as beneficial as possible while utilizing as little of our planet's finite resources. I decided to introduce my topic in the form of telling others to question why we need to build our places on overly large metal boxes when societies have been run in a compact and efficient fashion for millennia as this is something that all societies face one way or another. In addition to attempting to provide ways to let people move up the social ladder through charity and cancer research. I have also inquired about society's tendency to place an influence on attention seeking rather than genuine talent and hard work. They say that it's my "superiority complex". But we can both agree that I didn't degrade anyone and was just stating facts in the link that I shared with you.
I wanted to share content beyond the typical chatter of the off-topic dialogue. But they rejected it in a disrespectful and apathetic fashion.

can't do anything because I was banned after trying to report Jordan who insulted me. I still carry these unhealed wounds.
