Hard Time
I love my best friend of 7 years. And he kinda loves me too but he doesn't want to date or anything yet as he just came out of a relationship and also isn't sure if we'll work out. As I can be really hard to deal with. I expect alot in terms of time and attention. And he's not the same. So he's afraid if we date he'll lose me forever. He is great when we are face to face, but text and call not so much.
He's going away this weekend and it's getting really hard for me to deal with. I can't stop thinking about him :( and the things that he said about not being sure of dating him. After liking him for so many years I was hoping he'd be into me too...but hearing his negative throughts about this really has taken a toll on me. And to make things worse he's leaving this weekend ☹️ Usually after meeting him I'm fine. But now that he's going away idk how I'll deal with all the pain and overthinking.

It seems from what you've written that you really do love your best friend if these feelings have been lasting for 7 years! For that reason you seem like a very loyal person :)
I can sympathize with your situation and I feel for you very deeply. It is a very difficult situation to be in and I can tell you are feeling very distressed.
I'm very sorry that hearing your best friend's thoughts about you guys possibly dating has made you feel bad and also I can see how the fact that he's going away this weekend can be very hard to deal with.
Do you have any coping mechanisms that could help distract you, or a support circle that can help you deal with this?
These are just suggestions but obviously it is your life so only you can decide what helps you most.
