"Hard to get"
Hey. I often hear "play hard to get" if you want to increase a guy's interest on you. But I don't know how to play thay way. If I like someone I just show it and that might be the reason I'm still single. How could I fix this? Thanks

Hi there :3 when I read your post, I noticed your need for love and connection with a guy. In my opinion, I don't think " playing hard to get" is the solution :0 after all, I'm pretty sure you want a relationship with someone who will love you and accept you for who you are. The problem with "playing hard to get" is that it isn't a good foundation for a strong relationship. When you play hard to get, you aren't being vulnerable ( good vulnerability is focused on the process rather than the outcome. Don't exchange good vulnerability with bad vulnerability) with each other. When you aren't practicing good vulnerability, it'll be hard to establish some trust in the relationship. "Playing hard to get" or agreeing with " he who cares less controls the relationship" chokes off trust :/ If you want a guy to like you, I suggest to focus on the emotional connection with him and practicing healthy boundaries :3 if I could add one more thing, I suggest that you could focus of the process ( emotional connection) rather than the outcome ( which is getting that guy in a relationship with you). I'm sorry if I confused you in any way:))
@brightPlum9077 Society tells us to act a certain way in order to achieve what we want. I always say do and say what you are comfortable with doing and saying, and along the way someone will know how to appreciate your honesty :) Stay positive, you are doing great <3

I've heard of the 'hard to get' technique. It can be a hit or miss depending on the people involved, everyone is different right? :)
As for your question, "How do I fix this?" Please clarify what it is you'd like to 'fix'? <3 :)
Remember you're not alone!! You have us all here at 7cups <3
@brightPlum9077 Playing hard to get is a popular way some individuals seek to increase the curosity and attachment of another individual. But being yourself is known to be the most beautiful thing to do because when the right person comes along, they get to admire you for yourself and when the time comes for you two to interact, he wont have to wonder what he will like about you. He would have already figure it out :D <3
