How do I cope with missing my ex husband

My husband and I broke up almost a year ago. We had a mutual break up (we were together for 9 years and married for 3) and the last (almost) year has been friendly as we have a beautiful daughter together. I had thought I was fine, but the last couple of months all I can think of is him. I miss him so much. I had met someone else at the end of last year who was lovely but we broke things off as I was feeling it just wasn't quite right. I'm so confused as when we split I believed it was the right thing to do, so I really don't know why I'm feeling so lost without him now. Things were far from perfect between us, and I know we both made mistakes but I just can't see a future without him now. I feel like I've made a terrible error and I don't know what to do to move forward. I don't want to cause awkwardness by bringing my feelings to the table as I genuinely have no idea how he feels and I also don't want to make a fool of myself if he isn't interested in trying to give things another go. I just don't know what to do! Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

@Alicemelinda85

Hi, I am sorry that you feel like that, I would try to find out whether it is nostalgia and maybe remembering the good days because you may feel alone or something else. If you think it is love, maybe try to find out what he feels before telling him what you feel and be exposed. Good luck

@Alicemelinda85 Ms.Alice do not have fear or doubt in your heart or your decisions. If you felt the best decision was for you two to split then you must stay strong with your decision and not regret it. If you go back to him and you two get back together you face the risk of getting into a toxic relationship once again and that is absolutely what you musn't do. I'd continue going out and having fun, the freedom of not a significant other is truly a special feeling. Have fun, spend time with your daughter, better yourself, and most importantly move on from your ex husband. Then when you are ready that's when you get back into dating and searching for someone who won't bring toxicity into your life.
