I feel conflicted

I recently stumbled upon a sm page of a former co-worker at a former job where we were both oil and water. Though this woman was not very nice to me in the past, I seemed to forget about the way she had treated me. However, there is a part of me that would love to reconnect with her but I realize that it's not a good idea on so many levels

  1. When I worked with her, she had a daughter who was dying from a rare disease
  2. She hated me for whatever reason and was rude to me on several occasions

Anyway, I found out through SM that her daughter died a few years back and there is part of me that wants to connect for that reason because her daughter and I were friends. As I said though, it would not be healthy.

@Summershy

You seem like you are very thought out and self aware, good for you! It sounds like you would like to reach out to this former co- worker but are afraid it is unhealthy.

Now that her daughter has passed away and some time has passed, are there other specific reasons you think this may be unhealthy?

Her daughter was close to my age next to me having a disability that Wouk not ever kill me. I am afraid that I would be the last person she wants to see.

@Goodlistener

* I posted on my phone with bunch of typos.

I would love to reconnect with her but here are a few following reasons why I want to be cautious

  1. She wasn't that crazy about me when we worked together
  2. I am sure I am the last person she wants to see being that her daughter was very close to my age who's disorder was progressively deteriorating her. I just feel that she would continue to make me the scapegoat of her grief.
  3. She's always had an attitude

I don't want to put myself into a situation where neither party is going to be uncomfortable/

@Summershy Maybe reaching out to offer support or consolation wouldn't be too bad, you can decided if you wanna really try and reconnect after that based on their response? But if you think it would b too much then of course don't.

Although since you're conflicted, maybe you could mail them a letter. It outs distance but still shows concern :)
