I hate the feeling of being dependent with a friend
First of all sorry for my bad english.
I met this friend thru online a few years ago. We had normal talk to each other for several years and then she and I got busy with our own life. After pandemics came, I spent my time a lot talking again to my old friends including her. We got closer than before. I always reach her whenever she's feeling down, whenever she's feeling like the world wasn't fit for her. Also whenever she's feeling unwanted and insecure, I always tried to give warm words and validation. She also did the same to me at those times.
I thought it reaches her well, I thought she needed those words. I thought we really can have each other when she said finally she's able to have close friend again.
Then we faced some problems. I feel too attached emotionally toward her. Whenever I feel sad I had my assumptions and blame those to her that I feel she's changed. That she has new friend and started to enjoy talking to her new friend more than me. Maybe that's the cue. That's became the sole reason she's started to feel uncomfortable with me.
But I don't really know since it's just my assumption. I'm afraid if I ask her she'll feel I'm going back to those times again when I didn't trust her.
Now I'm feeling anxious frequently, I blame myself a lot of times for opening up to someone and got attached emotionally. Do you have any idea what I should do to become emotionally independent again? I don't want to cut ties with her.

Hello!
I'm sorry you are going through this.
Open and effective communication does wonders.
It's difficult to be fully vulnerable, but perhaps it may help sharing your concerns with her<3✨💛
