I missed my chance to date someone I deeply care for - now I'm struggling to live.
Hello!
Not long ago I asked out girl that I really like. She replied she is already dating someone and so it seems that I have missed my chance.
It all began in the end of December 2016, we chatted on Facebook until on January 5th I was back to the city she lives (and I study) and throughout January we met some 4 times. We spent such a lovely time on random trips to random places (mostly we met for 4+ h), however, without understanding what is a date and why should anyone ask out someone theyve just met, it did not occur to me that I should ask her out (all previous relationships I had, started just by meeting frequently with those girls without stating meetings as dates).
She went abroad for some 20 days, she was sick for some while, so I was able to meet her only briefly on February 28 for 2-3 hours, still it did not come up in my mind to ask her somewhere. She once again went abroad and I was able to talk with her on some March 20. On March 25, I asked her out. Then the bad things started. We talked over my struggles, and as she said she liked me for a while but those feelings somewhat diminished over time because I did not ask her out or in any way advance these things, so at the end of January started to date someone.
It has been two weeks now and I think that she was my One – I think I could marry her someday in the future but I messed it up. I cant eat, have some weak sleep in night and spend most of my time thinking about her.
What should I do – wait for her and hope that her 2-month dating partner changes his mind or whether I let her go, despite I have strong feelings for her?
PS. I'm nearly 22 now.
@Janish4337 Hi. It sounds as though you were experiencing some degree of depression. Allow yourself to grieve, but don't stop doing things you enjoy or need to do (like studying, working in any way). Anything that can distract you would help. No, don't give up if you have such strong feelings for her! Wait until she breaks up. She most probably will eventually. So be patient!
