Is It Worth A Chance?

I am a highschool student and recently started talking to a guy who very quickly (in the span of two weeks) asked me out. There was pressure from both his friends and mine but I did like him a lot and he is exactly the type of guy I always imagined I would end up with. He compliments me every day and buys me coffee every time he's out. His friends have told me how he was obsessed with me and he is very jealous as well whenever I'm talking to other guys.

I am currently a little worried about our relationship and how it's going to be in the long run. I am in high school (freshman year) and grades should be focused on, as well as aspects of having "fun" during your high school years. I like him but one week into the relationship and already a strange feeling is coming over me as to if this was really the right decision. Right now I am young and extremely naive. I don't want to make a mistake for myself that will affect my future. I also don't want to miss oppurtunities.

He seems like the kind of guy that my parents would love and my mom already does. I am very compatible with him and he is very into me. A break up with him would completely crush him and I don't want his first relationship to end like that. He goes insane over me and I don't think it's fair for me to break up with him over the span of a week especially since our relationship has gone very public around the school.

Any Advice? Should I give him a chance?

@simplicityisbliss

Hey there. I can understand your desire to have time for yourself. You're a young girl and you deserve to have this space. This is the time for you to find yourself. If he truly loves you, he will understand and back off.

@simplicityisbliss I think it would be best to give it time, see how the relationship progresses. That odd feeling you have might as well be you being worried about being in such a relationship in the first place. I had it too. If he treats you nicely, loves you and you feel these things for him in return then just let him prove you he is worth giving a shot for :)
