My roommate graduated early (December) and I graduate in May. I am left with all $280 worth of utility bills. Would it be wrong to ask her to help pay for some of it? She decided to tell me she was graduating early after we signed the lease. I don’t know how to ask. We’ve been good friends since beginning of college but she’s the type of person to get snappy when you ask something like that of her. i don’t know what to do.

@kateg10s It seems to me that if you are really good friends, then you could simply ask directly. But if you are not really good friends, and you are very worried in case she might get snappy, then I suppose you might decide it's worth $140, or whatever, to avoid being snapped at.
