Parting Ways

You are an illuminating light, that even in your darkness you found a way to shine. I never judged you or questioned your feelings. I know that you were hurting still. You didn't want to bring that hurt into our relationship, but I was willing to be there with you. It cost me my own feelings.

I'm sad and frustrated for letting myself fall for you. I still care for you, and want what's best for you. I even see that it isn't me. You're about to go on a journey of self growth, move away, explore new cities. I'm hurting, but I'm trying to move past it. I know it's what you want.

I was very happy with you, but I was happy before as well. I know I will be happy again. Losing you is hard, but I know it's what's best for you. I love you, and I want to see you succeed. I believe in you. Your presence in my life taught me a lot about myself and being a good man to others. For me and for you I will continue to grow, continue to learn, and always give my all to those I care about.
