Really confused
I am separated from my wife of 2 years bc of so many problems.I have done research on Narcissists, BPD, and passive aggressive disorder. Seems like I have dealt with some characteristics of all 3 with her. I do have an appointment with a professional to deal with it all. I have honestly never dealt with anything like this. Before all of this I was a confident man that just kind of went with the flow but have ended up doing things that I never thought I would do. I.E. raising my voice and saying horrible things to her. Can I get some tips to deal with all of this?
Hi there @Bucksman67, a warm welcome to you. I am glad you have found our community and I hope we will be able to offer you some support.
I am sorry to hear about your separation. The situation you were/are in does sound as a very tough one. I think you are taking some very good steps in order to deal with it. Talking with a professional will help you to get some understanding both of the conditions she may be suffering and of the reasons behind your own behaviour. There are lots of resources you can find on this website that may be helpful for you. Once you have a better understanding or perhaps a specific diagnosis it will be even easier to direct yourself towards such resources.
It is a bit difficult for me to give you more specific tips, as I do not know much. But please feel free to reach out and let us/me know what we/I could do to better support you. I would certainly be happy to listen to you.
Hi Bucksman, nice to meet you and hear from you. Welcome to the forums here. Hope it's been helpful so far.
I don't know much about any of these disorders as said above I've not dealt with it or know about any of them. I do know bit about the BPD but it's from others who experience it. Again as this site isn't designed to give all the answers it might be as I'm sure others here have dealt with one or two of the problems that you join the community on that topic to know more about the issues you may have what you experience and more likely get a better answer and people to comment and help you. I don't know if your fourm would be better in another area of the site as ideally you get more responses but again I'm no expert of this site either.
It's good you have confronted about your problem. Did this start when the relationship or was it there before? What you said must of been there before but like to know why and what changed? It's going back to your past and identify the key things there and painting picture. This is something a professional can do. Also is the professional a therapist or physocilaist? I'm not sure what one will help but it depends if it's something more a therapist can do if its someone who have more experience of this as said before.
I'm glad you have found this site and hope things improve soon. Maybe suggested think about doing the things I said as you might get the help.
Take Care and hugs
