Relationship

I am 25 years old. I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year. I feel like I am not his priority. We talk about our feelings/problems and come up with solutions but I'm the only one who actually works towards the solution. He says the solutions we've come up with don't happen naturally so he never thinks about it. For example, I like to cuddle. He does not unless sex is involved. I told him random cuddling makes me feel secure...like a safe place but he hasn't made time to make that happen. He feel like he can buy me happiness. This has been a problem for the last 5 months or so I don't know what to do but I've said all I can say. My mind says leave but my heart want to keep trying.

Some of the other things are he's ALWAYS on the phone. If he's not doing that he's playing the game. If he not doing that he's complaining about work. If he's not doing g that he's eating or sleeping. He never makes time for me. Everything he does he do to get something in return. There has to be some benefit for him or he won't do it. Doing something for me and only me isn't his thing.

@adm24

The relationship you describe sounds very painful to me and seems to cause you a lot of suffering, hugs (if accepted). To make a relationship work it needs the effort of both parties and if the ideas about how it is supposed to work are very different an approach from both sides needs to be made to meet in the middle. From what I read he is making sure that he's getting what he wants but does not really care about your needs like cuddling or just doing something to make you happy. How do you see yourself let's say in 5 years, maybe even having a family with him. Would you feel safe?

Remember, time is precious and you are precious too. A partner should see that and not take you for granted.
