She almost ruined my Thanksgiving

Though I had a wonderful Thanksgiving alone, I posted lots of things on social media pages. While I was doing this, I discovered that one of my "Friends" who has seemed to be very nice and sweet in the past, responded to a post and wrote a few days earlier. She talked about a situation she faced before saying a weird remark that I say things that are upsetting to people. I felt it was uncalled for, so I privately called her out for ruining my thanksgiving while also making sure that I sounded assertive.

Later that night, she brought up an event about a year ago, where I lost my temper and swore at another person. She also said that another family with whom I used to be acquainted told her not to associate with me because I swear and lose my temper.

Basically, this friend and I attended a congregation where the people are full of themselves and have no problem being unkind to anyone. They seem to pick people apart who don't fit in socially. I was one of those people because.

1. I have autism

2. I lost my temper at them a few times because they kept looking down on and ignoring me -

3. I have been confronting them for the way they treated me

This friend thought my outbursts had to do with sensory overload, which I explained to her that I was mad at them because they were not interested in my being my friend. All they did was try to control me and talk about their plans in front of me like I was not there.

Yet, she dismissed me by talking about a co-worker who was too loud before changing the subject and talking about her grandkids before rushing off to talk to her family on Thanksgiving that night. I was in tears after that.

So I have taken the following steps.

1. I shared this situation with the professional, and I will talk to her in a few days

2. Based on similar experiences and behaviors from other fake friends, I saw a few red flags that made me feel uncomfortable. So I decided to unfriend her and block her on my private messenger.
