She's too busy to date

I've been dating a girl for a month but then the coronavirus shut down my college. She's a senior and I'm a junior. I said I wanted to make it work and I could drive up to see her. She said she is stressed out about finding a job and is sad that her graduation is cancelled. The thing that is killing me is that she said she liked me, she is just worried about everything. We still keep in touch and she is really sad about the whole thing. I may get an internship near where she lives over the summer. Should I still keep in touch with her and hope we can try again or just let her go and not talk to her?

Matt, mate, buddy,

See, if I was coming from the perspective of a generic woman I would be like awh yeah go for it etc but the thing is I'm not a generic woman and I am going to say this again - drop. it.

Not only for her sake - but for yours too! Maybe posting objective advice was yesterday wasn't as effective and I don't know what year senior level we're dealing with here but you're anxious, she said she liked you but for Christ sake boy - do you like her or do you only like her cause she likes you?

You gotta have experience with this sort of stuff, and it takes time develop a nuanced and complex approach to it. Be picky. Have standards! You may keep on posting on what to do and you'll be bombarded with opinions but I strongly suggest to think with your head in this one as I have always done. I'm only commenting because I saw this again and I thought there was some development or some change but there isn't. You're digging yourself a hole.

Head down in the books, head out the car window on those road trips - same advice on this. You will thank yourself a decade later :)

@sensibleStrawberries9877 I will also add that if you both have extreme career ambitions then it might work out later on. Maybe now is not the right time - ya feel me? Attempting to add hope, but I'm a realist. I talk from experience. Hope that adds some weight.

@sensibleStrawberries9877 she's a senior in college and I'm a junior. I've never had a girlfriend and she's the closet I've had to one. I want to move on but I don't want to give up on her because she's perfect. I just want her to keep me in mind and if everything settles, we can try again. I just hate that it's ending over a stupid virus that the Chinese government couldn't contain.
