Silent treatment

Back story - I (25f) and been dating D (35m), for a few months. 23rd October I became quite ill with tonsillitis, and over the next few days/weeks I remained ill with other stuff (still currently ill). I worked 24th - 28th, and then I went to a party with D on 28th October after work, and another on 29th October. I felt terrible 30th October so cancelled my own plans and rested instead. I worked the 31st - 4th, and was meant to go for a dinner with D with loads of his friends but cancelled last minute because I felt terrible. I took medication and slept 11 hours, feeling better when I woke up, but still being ill. I started to get ready for a party on the 5th, D got into a fight that morning and went to A&E, I was messaging him the whole time asking for updates and such, as I cannot visit hospital with the symptoms I had. I decided to still go to the party (as I had gone to the other ones being much more ill, with him), and had my phone on me the whole time checking for his updates - this was when he started giving me the silent treatment until the 8th. I messaged everyone who I thought would know about updates, and started to drive to his parents house (an hour away) to see it they knew anything, this was when he messaged saying he was at his parents and he didn't want to speak to me atm but we needed to talk, which I said to him was understandable and I'd not message again until he messaged me. This was almost a week ago - his friends are posting petty stuff about beating me up because I didn't go to the hospital but I wasn't allowed - I can understand being upset I went to a party but I was constantly checking for updates, and only went to the parties because I'd been previously being ill. My choices were either go to the party or stay at home, either way I was waiting for updates which never came

I can admit to being in the wrong for going to the party, but receiving silent treatment from him, and his friends threatening (not to me, just posting stuff about beating people up who are mean to their friends) to beat me up is getting all too much

When things like this happen within a few months of a relationship, take the time to understand exactly what is going on. Hopefully you will talk to D and get to understand how he is feeling soon. Hopefully you will feel like the communication level is good. If you don't feel like there's trust and respect then that could be a sign that those are things to work on if the relationship continues. Healthy relationships deserve respect, trust and communication. Above all else, you deserve those 3 things.
