Small fights

Hi !

So, I have a boyfriend of two years and lately we have been fighting pretty much. More than before. We're both feeling really clueless because we just don't know how to stop it! We're both sensitive, and small things easily become big. Although we're self-aware in a way that we know how things affect each other, and able to discuss how we feel, somehow these fights still break out. And the thing is, they're over text. So that just leaves so many things misunderstood because you can't really read emotions.

I know the reasons to why we are constanty fighting, and it has a alot to do with this situation currently. We both live at home with problematic parents, and haven't been able to see each other as often as we usually do, and when we have it's always outside (no cafes etc. Have been oven until now) That has made it pretty hard to talk for real. Even though we have done a lot of fun things, some days you just forget all that and write hurtful things! Also this situation (corona) has really impacted mine and his mental health.

So what I'm "asking for" is advice. What do we do? It's always the same thing all over again, sometimes we argue for a few hours and then afterward just feel so bad and apologise and all that and then it happens again. It's so frustrating and draining!

@adaaa

It sounds like you and your boyfriend are having communication issues. You mentioned that you guys fight over test since you can't read emotions well over it. I totally understand. I tend to worry that people aren't going to read my emotions well over text as well. How do you feel about calling or video chatting with each other? We can't chat one-on-one since I am a teen, but I would be happy to brainstorm solutions with you here in the forums if you want :)
