Standing up for an aquaintance

Last week, I ran into an acquaintance who had been really close with an ex frenemy of mine since she finally cut ties with me in 2014. He told me earlier this year that she would call him three times a week to check up on his because he was lonely. That said, it sounds like she recently lost her interest in him but is jerking him around about it.

So I called her last week and left her a voice message stating that if she's not interested in him, it's better to be upfront and cut ties with him.
