Trusting my boyfriend

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 9 years. Every couple of years he has come out with a large lie he has told me. Up until last year I finally told him to tell me everything and he claimed to have told me everything at the time. Now he just told me he is hiding being in debt and has been getting collection calls for the past 2 years. I'm trying to stay calm but I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do. How do I address this situation?

@fearlessCoconut6509 If he has repeatedly lied to you and continues to do it, it looks like he will never change. You will have to decide if this is something you will accept or begin to consider life without him.

So I ended up camly confronting him about the pattern of lies and we had a long and deep discussion. We got to the root of his emotional background behind the behavior and are now at the point of working together to move forward. He even agreed to couple counselling. I think we are going to give us a chance to put in the work to evolve this relationship. Wish me luck!

Nine years is a long time to stay in any relationship that's got instabilities. It's also time to get really comfortable. TBH, I think it's time to consider cutting your losses and walking away. 2 years of hiding debt that could effect you both is a long time. And a consistent pattern of lying means he probably will again.
