What is going on?
There is a guy in my work place that totally ignores me. I am new at this place and everyone are so nice and welcoming, they come over to say hi every morning. The first time we met he was nice but after that he comes to our office and talk to my other Colleague without even turning his head and say hi to me. I am just wondering what is wrong with him? 😄
@Rianakh95
how strange!
@Rianakh95,
only one way to find out. Ask him.
Perhaps he likes you and fighting it. Or he is not the type that relates with people. It’s okay for everyone not to like you in a work place. At least you have other colleagues with say hi to you. You can as well give the guy the space he needs when it’s not work related.
@Rianakh95
It could be that he’s preoccupied, shy, or just not as interactive. A friendly “Hi” from you might help break the ice! 😊
@Rianakh95
That's definitely weird. You should ask him if all's good perhaps.
@Rianakh95
It can be frustrating when someone seems to ignore you, especially in a friendly work environment. There could be many reasons—maybe he’s just naturally reserved, preoccupied with work, or even unaware of how he’s coming across. A simple “Good morning” or a casual comment could help gauge his response. If he continues to be distant, it’s okay too—some people just take longer to warm up. As long as your other colleagues are welcoming, try not to overthink it!
@Rianakh95 It sounds like you are feeling a bit confused, especially ever since everyone else is so welcoming. Sometimes people are just uncomfortable in new social situations or unsure how to approach someone they don't know well. His behaviour might be unrelated to you personally. How does it feel for you when he acts like this way?
@Rianakh95
Hi. Oh I’m wondering too why he would be like this! Have you tried to initiate a conversation of a friendly ‘hi’ just to see what his response might be?
Hello there, Rianakh95!
I'm getting an impression that you might be feeling confused by his reaction. Especially given, how warm and welcoming everyone else has been. If I may ask; What do you think you experience when he reacts this way?
@Rianakh95I can see why that feels uncomfortable, especially when everyone else is welcoming.Try not to take it personally. If it bothers you, a simple smile or initiating a hello yourself might clear things up ? What do you think of this ..
