What should I do?
My long distance boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half almost. Weve had a really rocky path and almost broke up in March. Lately he seems to be distant and we no longer talk on a day-to-day basis. Ive tried to stop being clingy and stop texting him so often because I dont want him stressed about not communicating with me. I feel so isolated and alone and I just wish he put as much effort into the relationship as I did. I can text him a paragraph and all hell say is mmmm or ok and it makes me feel worthless. I dont want to break up with him because he means the world to me and hes been there through so much. I just wish I didnt feel this way... any help or tips would be appreciated greatly.
@Roxb0x Hey Rox, Welcome to the community. Thank you for reaching out.
I am sorry to hear about the experience you had and I can understand how it feels. Communication is the key to any relationship but it becomes more significant when you are in LDR.
Probably you could communicate with him and let him know how it makes you feel when he gives one worded response. Also, maybe you both can set some ground rules to manage each others' expectations from this relationship.
What do you say?
