Why do I let you disappoint me?
It's hard because I keep letting you in. At first it was emotionally, then we quit. Oops, no we didn't, back to sexually. You left me because I couldn't directly help you in your goals and I broke a little. I'd since moved on and began seeking help, you re-entered my life and were determined to prove that you were different. I told you I'm not looking for a relationship, especially if it's going to be the same, but I can be your friend. Silly me, I should've known that friendship would lead to feelings- questionably feelings- because I'm still not trying to be in a relationship, with anyone but myself. So why does the idea that you maybe moving on again make my heart race? Not because I didn't think it could be possible but because you're doing it again, ignoring me. Letting me know that you've seen that I've messaged you but don't care to reply.
is this karma for something I've done in my past? I hate getting to a space where I don't think about you or even want to, only to let you back in and you wake up and decide to ghost me. This has to be the last time I let this happen
@TheGirlWhoseAlwaysThere ... soooo sorry to read your story. Been there, but it's not you, it's him.
All your doing is being a really honest kind person. He is nothing like you and preys on kindness.. a permanent victim.
Look at yourself, see the kind fabulous person looking back and make the conscious decision to let go permantly. Even when he comes back, most likely will, don't open the door, don't feel bad, don't let him in. He's not your friend, he's a parasite and you need to surround yourself with people like you. And don't feel bad, he's nothing like you, he will survive and just move on to someone else.
You concentrate on you, your great qualities and finding someone who deserves you xxx
@kitty54 thank you. I've been feeling like I'm at fault for wanting to be friends and move slowly and with caution. I get used to his consistency and then he falls off and I blame myself. I've got to learn how to stand up for myself more xoxo
@TheGirlWhoseAlwaysThere , it's not about standing up for yourself more, but that is a great step. It's about not judging everyone on how kind and giving you are. Learning to recognise the signs of people who won't compliment you, trusting your gut.
You have done nothing but good and trust him... sadly some people take advantage of good people. Be you, stay you, just with eyes that see through rubbish :)
