confused
Hi everyone,
I recently started talking to this guy, specifically a week ago, who messaged me on my social media. He's very sweet and kind but I noticed he has developed strong feelings for me. He talked to me about his past relationships and how traumatic they were for him. I genuinely care for him and have not noticed any other major red flags. However, I feel like this is moving too fast for me and feel like he's love bombing me. He even told me he loved me yesterday. We live in different cities and yesterday he told me eventually I would have to move to his city to be together. I was upset after this because I can't just drop everything in my life and move, especially after only knowing him for a week. I also don't understand how he can love me after not really knowing much about me. I have developed feelings for him but I still think it's important to think logically about it all. He has told me he make's his decisions by following his heart, which makes me wonder if he's rushing everything because of his negative past relationships. I'm confused because I don't know if due to my past commitment issues (that i worked through) this is why I'm struggling or if it is a genuine cause of concern for others as well.

I think you just have to be open and honest with him and talk about the way you’re feeling. Tell him you’d like to carry on speaking to him and letting things develop, but at a sensible speed. It’s good that he’s following his heart, but he needs to know that he’s overwhelming you and to have a serious relationship with you, he’ll need to reign in his affection in these early stages.
As you say, you can’t really know how much you know somebody when you keep rushing things. It might not be an easy conversation, but as long as you keep it positive and also make sure he knows about the good things you’ve noticed about him too, you’ll be fine.
