i have a best friend. shes really nice and i care for her a lot. she had a girlfriend for a while, but told me that something was wrong. i gave her some advice, and she took it. that same day her and her gf broke up...she told me what happened and i felt really sorry for her. i told her i was always gonna be there if she wanted me to and she was fine later on. the next day, she went off at me for no reason...it makes me feel like it was my fault they broke up in the first place and that she hates me. im really afraid to tell her how i feel...

all advice is appreciatedheart

Hi! I'm sorry about her reaction. Sometimes, people are not entirely themselves after a big change in their life. Breaking up is painful, it can be so even if it's the right choice. Maybe she's sure about her decision, but she still feels hurt, and that's normal! I don't think she's actually blaming you, you helped her see things that were going wrong in her relationship, but those things were already there. Surely she knows, but in a moment of pain we can act irrationally, sometimes.

I suppose there's not much to do but making sure she knows you're there for her whenever she wants to talk about it, and that you understand and her pain. After that, you can give her some time, probably that's all she needs to make peace with what happened!
